The June 2024 issue of Welsh Histories Magazine arrives and, this time, the theme is a critical take on the Welshness of the Tudors! Since our March 2024 issue, Welsh Histories Magazine has grown tenfold. Welsh Histories Magazine – June 2024 has continued this tradition of expansion; bringing about a new evolution with a renewed critical assessment of history.

We are all familiar with Henry Tudor and his Welsh origins, but just how Welsh was he (and they)? Additionally, we look at Henry VIII and the arguable case for him doing more damage than anyone else to Cymru and the one thing which happened during the reign of Elizabeth I which makes her reign slightly more favourable to the Welsh language.
