I Found the Funniest Reactions to Welsh Stereotypes—And You Need to See Them
—
by
We came across a map created by ‘Meanwhile in Ireland’ that showcased stereotypes across the UK, including Wales. And I have to say, the reactions to these Welsh stereotypes were absolutely hilarious!
Shaw said, “This map just proves once again that Cornwall and the rest of the Southwest are the best Britain has to offer. Surfers, smugglers, and sailors drunk on cider? What else do you need?”
McCarthy wrote, “Must be done by an english person ? I think England is described a lot better than Wales ” McCarthy was just happy making a funny comment about the map.
”I’m a Welsh gay pensioner in Brighton I’m laughing my head off. I was born in Pembrokeshire and brought up struggling to fight the English in Glamorgan…(As it was called when I was living there).”
“Oh I just love this, he’s got my area down to a tee! ‘A bit scary’ it certainly is! Love the humour.”
Betts said, “Very funny, I can appreciate all of it bar “White Walkers” somebody will have to explain that to me.
I grew up in north/midlands confusion, spent a couple of years in a space time rift before spending a decade perpetually drunk, and the last nearly thirty years between mostly bog and just rocks.”
Hughes said, ”One that I saw which made me smile had the whole of Wales down as middle earth.”
”My Dad used to work in Cardiff and live up the valleys he used to say the Cardiffians used to think he lived in a cave. He used to give it to them back mind telling them he was changing the stone door on the weekend.”
The post received around 480 reactions and 100 comments suggesting the Welsh truly has the best humour.
