I saw this image shared by Abolish Westminster and had a chuckle.
Yn Gymraeg (the Welsh language), “Greenland” would be “Yr Ynys Las”. Well, quite close to the university town of Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, there exists a village called, what else, Ynyslas. There are also likely a few more spread throughout Wales, too, given the lovely green landscapes we possess and our tendency to name towns and villages after their surroundings.
If you have been following events in recent days, you might be aware of escalating tensions surrounding Greenland and potential imperial advances being made by the President of the United States. Because of this, the people of Ynyslas decided to make the below sign – so hopefully Trump gets the message!
