The digital edition of Welsh Histories Magazine for April 2026 has finally arrived!

This month’s Welsh Histories Magazine is the fourth to come in 2026 and covers the immensely interesting topic of some of the ruins we have lying around in Cymru. Church ruins, castle ruins, house ruins – we have it all! I had wanted to write a magazine which focuses on this topic for quite some time and, to be honest, this one only scratches the surface and will therefore probably be the first in a series on the topic. Of course, there are so many ruins in Cymru that it would have been an impossible task to fit them all into this magazine. Therefore, this one covers on a select few (selected at random, in fact) and will hopefully be the first in a series on ruins.

As always, there are some “Did You Know” facts thrown in. I try to make these relevant to the topic and this month’s fun facts reference the theme of ruins.

This issue of the magazine has been written, created and designed by Niklas George (Welsh Histories founder and owner). There is no guest writer this month. All images used in these issues of Welsh Histories Magazine include the respective owner’s details, where applicable.
