I am saddened to hear the news of legendary Welsh rockstar Phil Campbell’s passing. A true, rock and metal music legend who just so happens to be from Wales, his passing is yet another in a long line of recent music losses.
What Was Phil Campbell Known For?
Campbell, of Pontypridd, Rhondda Cynon Taf, joined Motörhead in February of 1984 following the departure of the band’s former lead guitarist, Brian Robertson.
His first Motörhead record would be the 1986 record Orgasmatron and he would be a constant of the band until Lemmy’s death in 2015. R.I.P. to a true Welsh legend.
