Here is Abaty Cwm Hir (Cwmhir Abbey), which was founded by a charter of Llywelyn ab Iorwerth (Llywelyn the Great) on 6 January in 1199.
Abaty Cwm Hir (Llandrindod Wells, Powys), is a former monastery dating back to the late 12th century. Cadwallon ap Madog, a Welsh Prince, was the structure’s original founder and the abbey played many a role in the struggles against the English.

Perhaps most interestingly, the last true Prince of Wales, Llywelyn ap Grufydd’s (Llywelyn the Last’s) headless body is believed to be buried in the abbey, though this is uncertain.
