Just for the record: Rhyl is nowhere near the Valleys!
Replying to my “I am from Wales” response with a heavily accented “oooh. you’re from the VAAAALLEYS?” makes little sense to me.
It would be like me telling a scouser “oooh, you’re from LANDAN?”
