Here’s a map with a difference. Titled “Empty Wales”, this map depicts hundreds of yellow squares – each one representing a 1 kilometre square.
What Does it Mean?
The interesting part?
Each of these squares contain not a single building inside. As incredibly eerie as it is astounding! Of course, it shouldn’t be that surprising given the relative rurality of Wales. We are a country filled with deep valleys, tall hills and mountains and plenty of areas within these which have remained uninhabited for centuries, if not millennia. It all adds to the beauty of Cymru!
